- I want to work for the AUC. Where can I send my application ?
To apply, please visit our online recruitment platform page where you can then create your Profile and submit your application online. The Commission request all applicants from AU Member States to apply through the system and fill all the relevant field.

- I have dual nationality status, which nationality will be considered for employment ?
In the application form, specify preferred nationality as the nationality you want to be considered for, however you should have supporting papers notably a passport confirming your citizenship of the preferred nationality country.
- Can I apply for an internship ?
The African Union provides opportunities for students enrolled in a graduate programme to undertake an internship at its Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. To apply for internship please follow this link.
- As an Intern, Can I receive financial assistance from the AUC ?
Financial aid is not available to interns through the AUC.
- I have a project to advance the goals of the African Union. Does the AUC offer financial, logistical or legal assistance ?
No. Being an Organization of sovereign states, its resources are allocated only to programmes which have been officially approved by its members. However, there are several ways Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) can collaborate with the AU on its activities.
- What countries does the African Union consider applications of it’s citizens?
Based on it’s mandate African Union will only consider applications from nationals of the following countries.
- I received an email from a AUC organization and/or a AUC official. Could this be a scam?
Some electronic messages may falsely state that they are issued by, or in association with, the African Union. See Official Warning from the AUC. Please be aware that the AUC does not request payment at any stage of the application and review process.
If you are in doubt please address your concerns to AUC Recruitment and we will confirm the authenticity of the communication.

- Does AU Offer scholarships?
Yes. Each year, the African Union Commission identify critical themes within the five institutes of the Pan African University, as key to the development of Africa and attainment of the vision of the African Union and offer scholarship to African citizen who meet the criteria. - Does AU Offer volunteering program?
Yes. Each year more than 100 youths are recruited for volunteer programme, trained and deployed outside their national countries to serve in AU Offices or AU partners Offices outside. For more information use this link.

- I need to add/correct some information on my application. Can I withdraw and resubmit my application?
Even after you have submitted an application, you can change can at any time update your profile but the specific element of the application such as the screening questionnaire cannot be edit after the submission of your application.
- Do I need to prove my nationality? What kind of proof will be accepted?
All candidates must present a valid picture ID issued by a state authority. The ID needs to prove candidate’s nationality as well as identity. Examples of such IDs are national passport, but not a driver’s licence or a birth certificate.
